Charging and remissions policy

The school charges parents and carers for the following optional activities: residential trips (board and lodging), individual instrumental music tuition provided outside the normal curriculum, and optional after-school clubs run by external providers.

Charges are waived, wholly or in part, for eligible families. Pupils whose parents receive Universal Credit, Income Support or the guaranteed element of Pension Credit are entitled to remission of board and lodging costs on residential visits, and no child will ever be excluded from an activity because of an inability to pay.

Complaints procedure

If you wish to raise a concern or make a complaint, we ask that you first speak informally to the class teacher or a member of the office team. If the matter is not resolved, you may make a formal complaint in writing to the Headteacher, who will respond within ten school days. If you remain dissatisfied, your complaint will be considered by the governing board's complaints committee. A copy of our full complaints policy is available from the school office on request.

Behaviour policy

Our behaviour policy sets out the standards of conduct we expect from all pupils and the rewards and sanctions we use to promote good behaviour, self-discipline and respect. It explains how we prevent bullying, how staff may use reasonable force, and the circumstances in which a pupil may be sanctioned, including suspension and permanent exclusion. The policy is reviewed annually by the governing board.
